ANSWER - Full name: Ahmed Kamaldeen and the stage name is: AfriKlaziQ







QUESTION - How and when did you start making music?


ANSWER - How and when did you start making music?




QUESTION - What type of (genre) of song do you make?


ANSWER - Afrobeats, Afro soul and Reggae music




QUESTION - What inspires your kind of music?


ANSWER - Experiences and a sudden urge to bring particular sounds to reality from my imagination.




QUESTION - What are you biggest anticipations so far in the music industry?


ANSWER - Longevity and the need for future generations to be able to tap into my art in their creative journey. As well as seeing myself as one of the future successful entrepreneurs in the music business.




QUESTION - How do you juggle between been a student of life and a celebrity?


ANSWER - That’s something quite complicated for the fact being a celebrity is one big institution in life , I believe everybody is a student of life irrespective of the institution we found ourselves, learning to deal with life as a student and learning to deal with life being a celebrity are two different thing , it’s like being have to deal with two different metrics at the same time , the best logical option to juggle between the two is not to forget about “being human” in the first place before anything else.

ANSWER - Fela, Burna Boy, Wizkid, 2face, Dbanj, Wande Coal, Kanye West




QUESTION - What message or emotions do you aim to convey in you art?


ANSWER - Message (Growth Mindset, Purpose, hope and at the same time probability of things not always going the way predicted , Responsibility for one’s life, in fact anything thoughts provoking theme). Emotions (Fun, love and romance , high life, curiosity, intellectual )




QUESTION - How do you handle creative blocks or lack of inspiration?


ANSWER - I take my time, meditate , exercise, read , engage in conversations with people and time travel through events and visualize and listen to music from legends I believe can influence my flow.




QUESTION - What is your favourite song you’ve ever created?


ANSWER - All my songs and the ones yet to be created.




QUESTION - The most rewarding experience you’ve had in your music process and career?


ANSWER - I grow and got better .









QUESTION - How do you handle criticism and Feedback?


ANSWER - It’s my responsibility to choose how I react to criticism, I know I don’t always have to go down the road of reacting to every criticism, how somebody feels about me or my craft is not always true and if it’s true then I guess it’s something I need to carefully pay attention to.




QUESTION - What impact do you hope to make with you arts?


ANSWER - I hope to make people entertained and at the same time push them to do better in every aspect of their lives.




QUESTION - How does your cultural background influence your work?


ANSWER - My rich cultural background helps me spice up my sounds , it’s more like a cheat code being a Yoruba, Nigerian and African .




QUESTION - Can you discuss a memorable experience or story related to your music?


ANSWER - Every point of my experience is memorable and one of the most memorable one would be when I made one of my unreleased song named “Unusual” , the feeling of the day was unusual and so does afterwards feeling to this day , it’s a remarkable point of my music making. I had to link up with two different producer that day at two different location and timing , it was my first time making music overnight.
